When I tried to open a WindowsForm with View Designer, this error occurred. This happened for both new C#/VB WindowsForms Application projects. Could not load type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.IVsRunningDocumentTable2' from assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.8.0, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' 2005/02/22 21:10

Go to C:/Windows/assembly and wherever you see duplicate assemblies with the 8.0.0.0 version number, right click on each to determine their dates. Once you know which is older, right-click the older one and uninstall.
